Baby and the Beach

William was just a few weeks old when we took him to the beach for the first time, but today he got his first real "taste", if you will, of the sun and the sand. He was absolutely fascinated with the sand, and, naturally, put a tiny little fistful in his mouth before we could stop him. He had a great time!

William met the Easter Bunny today, and, like we expected, he was far more curious than scared. He touched the Bunny's face, his whiskers, his nose, his mouth, his eyes, and his bow. It was really too cute for words! Happy first Easter, baby boy!

William and Hallie

My good friend Sara and I were pregnant at the same time, and Sara's little girl, Hallie, was born just a few weeks before William. The two tykes have had a few playdates already and Sara and I are looking forward to a summer of memories and good times!

A Stand-Up Guy

William enjoys nothing more in the world right now than standing. He will hold onto my fingers, the edge of the coffee table, or his exersaucer and stand on his two chubby little legs for hours if I let him. He squeals with delight every single time, and looks up at me as if to say: "I dare you Mommy, just try to stand like me!"

William is eight months old today. It's amazing that eight months of pregnancy seemed to take forever, yet these past eight months have gone by in the blink of an eye. I truly cannot believe how much he has changed, and while I miss my itty-bitty baby every now and again, I'm just loving this wonderful time, discovering more and more about him every day.

In honor of William's eight month birthday, here are eight things I want to remember about him this month:

8. He's just figured out how to eat finger foods, and gets super excited whenever I put anything on his tray. He absolutely loves Mum-Mums and his entire face lights up when he sees the packaging. He also wants to eat whatever I am eating, and will gleefully grab at my plate and smack his little lips together.

7. He babbles up a storm now and has pretty much every consonant and vowel covered, his favorite, of course, being "Dada". "Bob" and "GaGa" are close seconds.

6. He sits cross-legged and reaches his little arms outward to propel himself forward, and gets very frustrated when this results in his moving backwards. It's very amusing to watch!

5. He wants to stand. All of the time. He will hold onto my hands and take teeny-tiny little baby steps all day if he could. I think he will walk before he crawls.

4. He loves "Peek-a-boo" and thinks it's the funniest game in the world.

3. He watches new people and faces very closely and intently and then almost instantly warms up to them and procceds to babble to them about "Dada" and "Bob."

2. He loves to be rocked to sleep and will put his little head on Mommy or Daddy's shoulder and immediately fall asleep.

1. He gives the sweetest, most melt-your-heart open-mouthed, sloppy baby kisses. Right now just for Mommy, but he's quickly learning everybody is kissable, along with little itty-bitty baby hugs that pour sunshine on any cloudy day.

I like to eat, eat, eat...

Dinner time can be a bit messy in the Remington household these days. Spoons are airborne and bowls have been know to hit Mommy or Daddy in the head. Such fun!

Early Mornings with William

For a person who used to sleep easily until noon, I find early mornings with my little man quite enjoyable. William is a happy, happy baby and greets every day with a smile, making it nearly impossible to not do the same.

Happy Seventh Month Birthday, Baby William!

William is seven months and growing stronger and sweeter and cuter by the minute! Happy birthday, baby boy!

Another blustery cold winter day outside, and William and I are cozy and warm, enjoying the sunshine from within. His little cheeks have been growing and growing all winter and I couldn't resist taking a few profile shots.

Alex brought me home some pretty little flowers to brighten up a cold winter day, and William couldn't wait to get his fat, little hands on them. He promptly destroyed the one I gave him in 15 seconds flat.

Happy Birthday, Mommy!

Today was by far the most amazing birthday ever - my very first as a mommy with William! Daddy made an amazing dinner and William got to stay up late and enjoy a little extra cuddle time! I can't wait to celebrate many more birthdays to come with my sweet little prince!

William got to meet his buddy Evan Secor this weekend! The two boys got to bunk together and Evan got to show William the many ways to destroy the living room! Mommy and Daddy are looking forward to many more get together with the Secors as the boys grow!

Baby's First Christmas!

Merry, merry first Christmas Baby William! William got to celebrate his very first Christmas surrounded by family and love and many, many hugs and kisses. Mommy, Daddy and William traveled to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Christmas where William was showered with love, affection and many, many presents. Did we mention the presents? William sure is lucky to have such generous and kind grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins, they not only made sure that William knew he was loved, but they also made sure that Mommy and Daddy couldn't fit all of the presents into the car! It was a wonderful day!

William's First Christmas Tree

William got to decorate his very first Christmas tree with Mommy and Daddy.

Christmas Comes Early for William

Mommy and Daddy took William to his very first Symphony Orchestra concert tonight, the Holiday POPS! show, and William got to see Grandpa and Grandma Remington for an early Christmas. It was a fun night and William really seemd to enjoy the Symphony, the parts that he managed to stay awake for, that is. :)

Bring on the solids!

William has been such a happy and healthy baby boy and gaining weight like a champ, so much so that he was given the green light by the pediatrician to start eating rice cereal! The first taste left much to be desired, but soon enough Mommy and Daddy couldn't get the spoon into his mouth quick enough.

Silly Goose

William was getting a kick out of changing time today. The taking off of the onesie is usually his least favorite time of the day, but for some reason it made him giggle up a storm this morning.

Best Laugh.... Ever

This little clip had us all rolling. Off camera Dad was trying to get the Christmas tree on its stand, which involved a lot of popping up and down and trimming of limbs. William thought all the ups and downs were hilarious. He's got a great sense of humor, but Dad's quads were sore the next day.

William turned 4 Months today! He's growing bigger by the minute and is still as sweet as ever!

William meets Andrew and Collin

William met Mommy's friend Sarah and her adorable twin boys, Andrew and Collin, for lunch over Thanksgiving. Seems the boys (or is it the mommies?) have great taste in clothing!

Sleepy Time

Sweet William all clean and sleepy after his bath and baby massage. When Mommy follows the "5 B's", William is one happy camper. That would be: bath, baby massage, book, boob, bed. :)

Grandma Visits!

William got to spend some good 'ole fashioned quality time with Grandma. He loved all of the TLC and having Grandma all to himself! Grandma is always such a huge help and knows just how to make everything and everyone all better! Thanks, Grandma!
